today i had to go under the knife.... mole removed and i had to get STITCHES - first time EVER. sorry if this is tmi for the blog. i still think my dermo is a scam, but that's a separate conversation.

then my low from the stitches were brought to a new high - kardashian style - after grabbing a drink with some friends at the gansevoort park...

these guys were really feeling the luck in chinatown this afternoon. they scored mary's old dresser within 5 minutes of being out on the sidewalk. nyc is a perfect example of another man's trash, is another man's treasure.

third clinton street i've seen this week - first my street in manhattan (duh), then clinton street in hoboken and then clinton street in brooklyn!! it's everywhere!! actually, if my reading serves me right (from "just kids") this is the clinton street that patti smith and robert mapplethorpe lived...

and not to take away from the clinton street sightings, but i thought these guys were great at the 14th street subway stop. they were jammin' to wagon wheel.

amy invited me to go see anything goes on broadway with her dad and mike. it was so so so good!! girl crush on sutton foster - she is unbelievable!

i've been dying to try bobwhite's lunch/supper counter that just opened up on avenue c - a little taste of southern goodness in my hood. i got a few vegetables including "mom's tomato pie" and creamed kale. delicious. i shall return.

in our team meeting today, everyone was talking about memphis, the musical - i just recently saw it over the holidays and it was amazing (highly recommend)! and so appropriate, i walked by the theater on my way to the subway....click here for a taste.

SJP SIGHTING!!!!! seriouslyyy people... i've lived here for almost 6 years and this is my first sarah jessica parker sighting. she was entering the grace building across the street from bryant park on 42nd street. i really tried my best to document... she's in the crowd of people in the top picture of the lobby. she was wearing a grey peacoat, with black hat and sunglasses. she was a little thing... i'm pretty sure i was in her way. big moment.

fox private movie screening tonight (i work for news corp, so we have access to take clients, etc.) anyhow, after wine and delicious apps, we saw "we bought a zoo". super cute! highly recommend! OH up to 5 subway rides (2 total today).

operation: unlimited 30 day metro card begins today! i am usually opposed to the unlimited card because i don't think it pays out, but since i'm going to be in town the next 30 days (or so it seems) then i'm going to give it a whirl. the math works out that i need to make at least 46 subway rides in 30 days. today i rode it 3 times (don't think this is common - just getting off to a good start).

every time at whole foods -- my game is to try and spend under $10 on that decadent salad/food bar. however, everything always looks SOOO good, so i just pile it ON. 1.11 pounds and $10.28 later, i loose my game but walkout happy. editor's note - i've never won this "game".
